Overview
Forget the jokes about asking for directions. It shouldn’t be embarrassing to ask for or—better yet—to get directions ahead of time if you’re going somewhere new. It’s the sustainable thing to do! Instead of driving in circles, getting lost and stressed out, and arriving late, just do a little advanced planning. This will cut unnecessary gas use and make your life just a bit more sane.
Tips & Tricks
Get online directions. There are handy resources online that allow you to get driving directions, maps, and time estimates for most areas in the country.
Get personal directions. Get directions over the phone, or in person, from your acquaintances at your destination.
